Big Day in Cape Town - South Africa
Victor Fernandez sent us some comments and great photos from Cape Town.

Team Fanatic Wave-test mission for the new board range Fanatic, scored to his credit some of the largest waves have been seen in recent years in Table View, Cape Town (South Africa). Haakgat was the spot where the brand manager Craig Gertenbach and teamriders Victor Fernandez and Klaas Voget Marcilio Browne entered the water with their prototypes quadfin to make a good test.
Here the words of the protagonists after the session:
Victor Fernandez:
"Well, I must say that this day Haagkat has really impressed me. It's my third time in Cape Town and had never seen a big swell here. This day was my first day in Cape Town and just down the acvión went straight home after we had a little session in Milnerton Beach in front of house and then we went and we caught Haagkat those big waves. It was fun sailing with Craig, and Klaas Marcilio on my first day of travel. This is one of those days very great you never forget. "
Marcilio Browne:
"I had heard many times over Cape Town as a place of strong wind and small waves, but after a week I can say that there have been great swells almost every day. The day we went to special Fues Haakgat, the waves were quite large and growing as the day progressed, and also the wind was very strong, full power with 4.2. I was impressed at how well it worked the quad table. That day I used 81 liters of it inside the current was very strong and gusty wind and the last thing I wanted was to stay stuck between waves. I felt great on the table quickly and with much planning to control almost all the time between the big chop and sailing well. "
Klaas Voget:
"This was one of the greatest days I've seen in Cape Town. It was very windy and quite choppy in bigger waves, but still fun. The grip and control of the prototype quad I have made my day. For me it was the first big day with my new Simmer Sails. The ICON is very neutral and controllable, and also very tough and I dropped those bombs on the head and no problem. "
Craig Gertenbach:
"As local Haakgat having sailed in over 20 years, I was very surprised at such a swell, the speed with which it grew and how long it lasted. Last week I had a great session at no Haakgat swim or wipeouts, so that this day had to make my second wave and did a complete wipeout, RBI and a long swim and kicked. After a couple of times I decided to retire from the beach and enjoy watching Klaas, Victor Marcilio and crushing the large series. We had 2 large swells and another 2 that are coming, so it's definitely the best I've ever seen in January in Cape Town! "
