PWA Cabo Verde World Cup 2007
Begins the 2007 season with unprecedented test, nothing more and nothing less than the island of Sal in Cape Verde. The competition runs from February 22 to n March 4, 11 days in which the best windsurfers in waves will give everything. The show is guaranteed, since at this time is when the best conditions of waves and wind on the island
The main favorites that gives the PWA for this test are Josh Angulo (CV-1), windsurfing ambassador in Cape Verde, the defending champion Kevin Pritchard Wave (USA-3 Starboard / MauiSails), and Brazilian Kauli Seadi (BRA- 253 Quatro / Naish), but it will be hard watching the likes of the younger competitors how Victor Fernandez (E-42 Fanatic / Simmer) and Marcilio Browne (BRA-105 Mistral / Gaastra) or old-school masters like Nik Baker (K-66 Mistral / North), Matt Pritchard (US-10 Tabou / Gaastra) or Scott McKercher.
There will be closely monitored at 3 local youth of Cape Verde to those who have given place in the test, "Tikik" Edir Lopes (CV-111 Fanatic / North), "Mitu" Oteniel Montiero (CV-0 Fanatic / North ) and "Djo" Jose Silva Nascimenta (CV-11 Fanatic / North). They are those who, with the permission of Josh Angulo, known Ponta Preta and the wave like the palm of your hand. The mismísmo Josh says you can not rule out some surprises.
We have already seen progress in recent days with the waveriders training, what may be one of the best evidence of waves of recent years.
