Long ago I had crossed his mind makes a small "stage" in the mythical spot of Gran Canaria, "Pozo Izquierdo," where for many years meet the best windsurfers in the world to participate in the Grand Slam PWA, offering a great show to all present.

The day came when I had the chance to go a whole year (or 2 seconds I quickly respond with a resounding YES.) Do not think I have too much pasta and I went to take a sabbatical ... no, no, quite the contrary!. What I proposed was finishing my studies at the University INEF of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with a scholarship for 9 months! ¿Fantastic, no? Missing only convince my girlfriend, Maria. When I suggested, did not hesitate a moment to join the Catalan expedition to unexplored lands canary ...?? hehehehe! Indeed, another member of the expedition with us!, Pol (E-23), also a student of INEF and windsurfer!

Now that you know our history, I can explain in four lines what we have been able to sail in a month and a half.

The truth is that we did not imagine so many days surfing or so brown! We have here a month and a half and we just rested a few days (do not know, but I tell you: do not stop!).

Well the first day (late September) we were able to navigate 4m sail and waves ranging between 1.50 m and 2m. Okay to start, and remained so until mid-October, when they reached the famous "stoppages" of wind, which mean canary language a couple of weeks sailing with sails from 4.7-5.4m2.

Of course, flat sea and the wind constantly changing direction (NNE veering to SW). This prompted us to temporarily leave the famous spot and go visit other places of the island (Juan Grande, Salinas, Vargas, Arinaga, Maspalomas, etc..).

In late October and early November, returned with strength and consistent trade winds. Each day browsing becomes a particular record. You know ... those days are recorded for a long time. Today we are two weeks of intensive navigation (sails from 3.7 to 4.2 m), and large waves, some 2-3m! Guai guai!
