Originally it was a windsurfing and surfing competition, which had a display of kiteboarding, the youngest of the disciplines. It was thought then to an event that encompasses all three sports. While working for EuroSport chain, I got the idea to create a unique event, to represent and promote the Dominican Republic. And so was born about MOO. With this edition we meet six years.

What makes this competition different?
The idea was from the first competition to find a concept that would promote local talent and sell Cabarete as a community to "young, athletic and healthy fun having fun on the beach." In addition, a new event of world standard.

What things characterize this edition of 2008?
Well, basically twofold. There are people specifically trained for months for this event. Athletes who are strong in one or two of the three disciplines that are prepared for a third, in order to completely dominate all. Another novel aspect is that this year we have a calendar of events very strong side, which will complement the spirit that is transmitted in each of the sleeves day.

Besides the title of "master of the ocean," what are the prizes?
We have a total of $ 10,000 for the winner, but right now we are negotiating to increase this amount and add other prizes.

How many athletes will participate in this contest?
We expect between sixty and eighty participants.

What is the future of competition? What are the plans for 2009-2009?
Consolidate MOO as an event that identifies the Dominican Republic at the international level. Make a "media tour" throughout the year to promote. And try to collect in advance the cash prize and make it more attractive.
