Local favorite (Quatro, MFC, Mormaii) was stopped by the extra soft surfed Josh Angulo (MauiSails, Dakine), and Bruch continued to dominate the air with their rotations reduced gravity, beating Scott McKercher (Starboard, Severne). And quartered, Köster ran into the myth of the "favorite of the competition", Victor Fernandez (Fanatic, Simmer Style, MFC), going both on par with his jumps but helped Fernandez win by a perfect double forward.

The semifinals were tough, Bruch and Fernandez dominate, both went to the final, a tight fight between the two where Fernandez offered a cleaner code and technically superior to take first place ahead of Bruch.

In the knockout female Moreno twins were eliminating his opponents with his devastating style, paving the way for a final between the two. Daida won a final outstanding because it put more points, leaving Iballa second.

The fifth race was an impressive show of 39 runners trying to battle a loose slalom wind: a timid exit that led to a battle for clean air in the first buoy and ended Albeau first Volwater second, Pritchard third. Maynard could not finish the race and did little honor Dunkerbeck his cause with a 14 th place.
