PWA Fuerteventura 2007

Sotavento Beach in Fuerteventura in July brings together the elite of windsurfing and kitesurfing, performing a total of 5 competitions distntas disciplines. From 20 to 30 July was held the third stage of the Windsurf World Cup in the Canary Islands.

This time he played patterns resulting Freestyle and Slalom 42 winners Marcilio Browne and Daida Ruano about Freestyle and Antoine Albeau and Karin Jaggi in Racing.

Freestyle

Marcilio Browne won the victory in the single elimination against Thomas Traversa. You gather Tonky Frans and Anthony were third and fourth respectively.

Marcilio Browne surprised eliminating the usual circuit 2006 Jose Estredo champion in the semifinals. Marcilio clinched carrying out maneuvers ponch very valued as a hand, air-flaka and burners in the 2 bows. Anthony Ruenes also broke new ground in eliminating Kiri Thode. Kiri is the rider with the highest number of operations executed in a heat and despite making a clew-first-shoveit-spock lost to Ruenes. In the final, but fell Traversa Browne launched clew-first Into ponch ponch and flaka. In the losers final, Tonky prevailed over Ruenes with its goyters and shoveit-spock.

The first double elimination started with the comebacks of Ricardo Campello and Colin Sifferlen that traced from the bottom of the table winning 3 consecutive heats. But more remarkable was the performance by Kiri Thode which prevented the advance of Jose Estredo and stood in the finals winning 7 consecutive heats and forcing repeat final against Browne.

Regarding the women, Daida Ruano beat Sarah-Removes its domain and range of aerial maneuvers and forward a foot or switch-forward to complement their usual repertoire of spock, flaka and eslider.

Slalom 42

Antoine Albeau won the victory in the lee slalom42 thus proclaimed world champion 2007. Second event was the American Kevin Pritchard and third Björn Dunkerbeck.
Thanks to its high performance, Antoine Albeau took the win before the last slalom who performed the entire fleet, more than 50 tables and Albeau contested and won with onboard video camera.
Anyway, this year the Frenchman has shown complete mastery of the discipline being awarded all the world circuit testing to date.
