Hifly Team in Chile
After 3 weeks when we visited Santiago and surroundings, we Pichilemu. We begin to become aware of the amount and quality of windsurfing spots, and yes there is!, But you have a car ready to tour Chilean roads. With a projected Topocalma wonderful, we are more than 30 minutes of landing in a field of mud, a mini-storm of rain and wind has marred the region overnight. A lot of cars off the road and are towed by oxen shots while trying to find an access to spot ... In vain! The track is unworkable and we must give back, effective learning driving 4 × 4!
Matanzas, north of Pichilemu, finally gives us a quieter alternative to surf a wave not too radical ... Also, our first sail on this beach we can play with the local wildlife. Caro shares his waves to surf with the pelicans while
Tom annoying wolves (lions with hair) in fishing year!
On the night camping wild in top of the cliffs that stand at the Cape, with a significant advantage for a spot of windsurfing, wind down in late ... Very convenient to mount the store and burn the forest of eucalyptus with campfire!
The surf is pretty weird lately and forces us to find spots that work best for harnessing the wind that blows regularly. Small towns south and north of Pichilemu offer good jump when the tide is not actually present. There are many good sites for the "bump and jump", but are not really what we wanted in Chile! The Wave of Pichilemu, famous surf break, get answer our expectations.
An unforgettable session in 4.2 m on glassy waves, which are navigated until the body can no longer! The following week came more favorable tides and winds!
Until then!
Tom & Caro
