Defecto de fábrica en bases Radz (y XTS) - Importante

No he visto que estuviera ya puesto por el foro, pero es una cuestión de seguridad importante y creo que se debería haber informado como han hecho en otros sitios (de hecho debería ser obligatorio hacer saber cosas como estas) ... una base defectuosa o en mal estado puede tener consecuencias graves, como quedarse tirado y perderse, o acabar en las rocas ... resumiendo, defecto de fábrica en partidas de bases de mástil a partir de Marzo 2009.

El aviso es sobre la marca Radz y XTS (que dicen que es la misma base), pero tal vez hay otras marcas que también tienen el mismo defecto (rumorean que las ProLimit también son las mismas). Las tiendas que las han vendido en Inglaterra piden que sus clientes las identifiquen y se las devuelvan.

Circulo - la base está OK.

Rectángulo - Devolver la base inmediatamente para que os la cambien !!

DETECTION OF FAULTY BASE

The four star deck plate has four inner curves reaching the points of the star. In the middle section of one curve, facing out, you will see a moulding scar. It could be ROUND or it could be RECTANGULAR.

ROUND - Starplate is OK

RECTANGULAR - PLEASE RETURN ITEM FOR EXCHANGE!

We have been advised by Radz that there is a possibility of breakage on a batch of their starplates. There is also a possibility of breakage if the base is an XTS type (same plate, different company) and although they have not issued a recall, they will happily replace any unit which is identified as being from the same batch as the Radz.
If you have one of these starplates please read the below to identify whether yours is part of the recall (if you are not sure, please bring it to the shop and we will check it for you) . The starplate could also be a tendon type or have the two pin US cup rather than the Boge/ North Pin type shown. We expect replacements to be available within 10 days, but please come and see us as soon as you can if your base is effected by this recall.
Please Note. We can only warrant bases bought from us and if you have purchased one from elsewhere, you must return it to the supplying dealer.

RADZ BASE RECALL.

A batch of Radz bases would appear to have a problem with the plastic. We have ceased distribution of the parts and returned all goods to the manufacturer. IT ONLY AFFECTS BASES PURCHASED AFTER MARCH 2009.

The bases came from a pretty recent batch, but because our stock is not warehoused in any particular date order it is not possible for us to identify how many bases have reached the market. We do not think it is many - but we would like you to check your stock and send us back ALL bases that show the markings of the faulty batch.

Pues justamente este verano pillé un par de esas en una tienda de Canpas.

Más info sobre el tema:

El defecto en las bases Radz ya está solucionado. El problema era que donde está el cuadradito de plástico, en esta partida de bases, la fábrica lo hizo a sólo 2mm de la parte superior y de ahí el riesgo de rotura. Demasiado cerca y por lo tanto mucho más fácil su rotura por esa zona.

Ahora el cuandradito está a 4mm y por ahora sin ningún problema.

En resumen, se pueden adquirir sin ningún problema.
