MADE TO WIN

JP INTRODUCES IT’S SECOND SLALOM BOARD GENERATION AND A FULL LINE OF SLALOM FINS
The new JP Slalom Board Generation shaped by Werner Gnigler and approved by Micah Buzianis including 4
Boards with 84, 94, 114 and 134 litres and a line of eight Slalom fins will be available first of March in stores.

SLALOM 42 THE NEW PWA RACING FORMAT

The new PWA Racing Format is Slalom 42. Four production sails and two production boards have to be registered per event. Most national associations are following this trend set by PWA. The new Slalom 42 format does not include any upwind racing and it also does not have really deep downwind legs like the classic slalom races of the old days. This brings this exciting racing format much closer to the public as every normal windsurfer could join a Slalom 42 for fun.

The limitation to 2 boards per event made it necessary to develop the boards in a completely new way. At every event the wind can vary between on the edge planning conditions to very strong winds. As you need to cover this with only two boards the shapes need to have a tremendous wind range.

JP was deeply involved in developing this new racing format and we are also on the forefront concerning the
development of the right product to win a Slalom 42 Race. With the New Yellow Racing Machines we are introducing already the second generation of Slalom boards which fit perfect for the new Slalom 42 format.

This new generation is interesting again for the advancedsailor who wants to reach top speed in all sorts of
conditions as they do not just cover a big rang they are also a lot easier to ride then old style narrow slalom
boards.

SLALOM WORLD CHAMPION ON JP SLALOM BOARDS
Micah Buzianis the 2005 PWA Slalom World Champion has joined JP Australia. Micah: “I had the opportunity
to test the final prototypes of the second JP Slalom board generation and it was immediately clear for me that I
want to join JP. Since I joined I have been testing them in detail and just made the final approval for production.
Werner has done a great job and I look forward to work with him.”

SHAPE DETAILS
The biggest changes happened in the volume distribution.
Taking out unnecessary thickness around the mast base and nose. Constant thickness from the tail to the mast base thinning out towards the nose giving the board a very balanced feel on the water.
The rail shape has been optimised for comfortable stance and perfect power distribution allowing the rider creating maximum speed.
The deck is kept as flat as possible all the way from the nose to the mast base to create a spoiler effect and
keeping the board stable.
The scoop rocker line is designed to reduce wetted surfaces and maintain high speed not allowing chop to
slow the boards down. Especially on the reach overtaking waves the rider needs 100% confidence.
The tail width has been slightly reduced for a looser ride resulting in more speed and control downwind.
The redesigned tail cut outs have bigger openings to further improve control and jibing.
We use the most sophisticated materials available today.
Compare the weight of our boards with our competition and you will be convinced.

TOP QUALITY G10 FINS PRODUCED IN HIGH-PRECISION CNC TECHNOLOGY
We choose the very best material available for fins and the most accurate way of producing them. We have pushed tolerances to the absolute minimum.
The new shapes have been developed with the main focus on high speed. By positioning the wide point of the profile further back the drag has been reduced clearly.
The new profile creates highly efficient lift. Due to the ease of use, you can control this power easily and reach higher speeds.
The adjusted rake angle results in a very loose water position of the boards.
The outline keeps a rather wide base for great low-end performance and acceleration. The narrow tip provides constant flex making the lift characteristics very predictable and gives the rider the confidence to push his limits even further.

NO MORE EXCUSES – NOTHING IS HOLDING YOU BACK
A full line of fins for our JP Slalom board line.
The boards still come without fins but now you have the chance to order fins with the boards. These fins have been developed together with the boards and perfectly match with them.

We recommend the following fin sizes to the JP Slalom boards:
