I'm a Gaastra fan. I'm not a pro but I also sail monofilm and technora Vapor sails more than 100 days in a year.
Not particularly different in performance. I would say maybe not better but also sure not worse. They are lighter, much more durable, resistant, and nicer. A unique feeling to roll and sail this material instead of monofilm.
And also very distinctive for the Gaastra Pros and their image.
Which is then the right answer?
1) New designer P.M. do not like Technora
2) Not enough Technora sails sold - costs too much.
3) Technora was only a marketing decision -
4) No Technora now is a marketing decision.
Sorry. Very disappointed about this change and not only about this."

Chulísima... parece que con monofilm y todo tiene que zumbar la ostia
esta tremenda!! hace tiempo no veo una vela de carrera tan linda!! xq sera q las hacen tan horribles? sera q mientras mas feas mas creen q andan? esta si esta buena en serio,nunca me gusto gaastra pero tengo q reconocer q se pasaron con este modelo!!

Que verguenza lo del technora, tambien se han cargado el modelo plasma y lo han sustituido por una no-cam. El material es una pasada, no se arruga, no se rompe tan facilmente y apenas se opaca por el sol, super comodo para montar (no tienes que estar preocupado por si te pliega o no) y mi impresión es que el aparaejo es más ligero en las manos. Además ese tipo de aparejo es el que se esta empleando para la vela ligera de competición, por algo será. Un saludo y buen viento!
